A few years ago, I went to a Lecruset outlet store and all of the products were made in China. I'm not sure if this is true or not. A "made in France" stamp is on the bottom of my older pots, so I know where they came from. Then, if it says that it's still made in France, then it is still made in France. People say that, but I don't know if it's true for lecruset. Corporations sometimes have cheaper products at the stores where everything was made in China, but I don't know for sure. Not at all. It was good after an hour of preheating it at 450 degrees, so it was ready to eat This is another way to start cooking. Make sure not to forget about it and leave the burner running for almost an hour, like I did with one of mine once. You can use Bar Keepers Friend, but it's very abrasive and will eventually scratch the enamel, making the colour hazy and dull. If you want to avoid this, we suggest making a paste with BKF, water, and a drop of liquid dishwashing soap before you use it. This will make the paste light and easy to spread. You can also use the liquid recipe from BKF, which is very easy to make. It's also a good idea to use BKF only when it's really important. It is 5 1/2 quarts. Across the bottom, it's 8 inches wide. This is my favourite size and I love to cook in it. For me, it has been a great investment. Hand washing is a good idea. The 5-1/2-quart enamelled cast iron round-shaped French oven is made of cast iron and has a lid. Improved sand-colored inner enamel that is more durable. In this case, it has a bigger composite knob that can handle temperatures up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit. The handles are 45 percent bigger, so even when you use oven mitts, you can still hold on to them. A lot of different types of heat sources are available. Ceramic hobs, electric stoves, gas stoves, grills, oven safes, and induction hobs are just a few of them.
The large base is good for browning meats on the stove before slow cooking or roasting them. The slanted sides make it easier to stir. This is because the smooth texture of the sand-colored inner enamel improves caramelization and reduces sticking. It also resists stains. This size is great for soups, casseroles, and one-pot dishes.
You might be able to, but for steaks and chops, I like to use the Le Creuset cast iron pan grill pan. I think this is better for stews, chilli, soups, and other dishes like that.
