I'm guessing there's some kind of silicon down there, but I can't reach it. The top one, which is above the filter and rests in the nozzle, is fairly thin. I wouldn't be worried about them at this degree of exposure. (If you're considering cancer.) I'm certain it'll be fine in terms of durability - at the very least (.01 percent??).
